Cemetery Association

The Maplewood Cemetery Association kindly asks you to observe the following rules:

  • No animals allowed in the cemetery except seeing eye dogs.
  • Please contact the Caretaker before planting anything.
  • Windsocks, banners, and flags may be displayed on Memorial Day weekend only.
  • Flowers are allowed from April 1st to September 1st.
  • All grave decorations must be removed by September 1 for fall clean-up.

A Commitment to Our Past

The beautiful Maplewood Chapel was built in 1905 for funeral services. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Windows on the north and east were destroyed by hail in 1955. With the aid of donations the windows were replaced to match the originals in 1989.

A Promise for Our Future

In 2000, Maplewood purchased an adjacent 45 acres, more than doubling its size. Two new sections are platted and ready for use. With the purchase of this property, Maplewood Cemetery is assured of being a viable cemetery for many years to come.
